About

The painter

Jeanon (1937–2023), a French painter associated with the École de Paris, trained in Saint-Étienne, Lyon and Paris, exhibited from the 1960s onward. Her figurative work combines a precise construction with vibrant colour, from nudes to portraits, landscapes and jazz scenes. Present at the Bernheim Gallery, major Parisian salons and the Grand Palais, she received several awards, notably in Deauville and Montreux in 1990, and her works travel in private collections in the United States, Switzerland, Qatar, China and elsewhere.
